6. While living in Ravenna between 1819 and 1821, Byron continued to write Don Juan. During his stay in Pisa between 1821 and 1822, he completed Cantos 6–12. Although he continued to write the poem until 1824 and composed 17 cantos, Don Juan would remain incomplete at the time of his death. Despite the fact that Don Juan was never finished, each of its published cantos enjoyed immediate success upon publication. In 1822, Byron also joined Leigh Hunt and Percy Bysshe Shelley to produce a short-lived newspaper entitled The Liberal, which featured his poem, The Vision of Judgement (1821). During his time in Italy, Byron completed a number of other poetic works, including Marino Faliero (1820), Cain (1821), and Werner (1822). This volume of The Pocket Magazine of Classic and Polite Literature (13:1824) includes engravings for poems by Byron and William Wordsworth.
