To Which are Added, the Ladder of Learning and the Robin (London: Darton, n.d.) by J.B. Although a chapbook, this work, priced at one shilling, was intended for the middle classes. Also notable, at the back of the book is an advertisement for ‘Children’s Books published by W. Darton, 58, Holburn Hill’; like Harris, Darton developed a catalogue or library of publications aimed at children.
